A Letter to the Editor from ED Caroline Roemer in The Advertiser:

Opponents of public charter schools are wrong to blame charters for the fiscal woes of the Lafayette Parish School Board at a time when public and private organizations, both large and small, are all suffering from shrinking budgets. Doing so demonstrates a misunderstanding of how education funding works, while also ignoring the contribution of charters towards the parish’s educational offerings
