Bossier Parish Schools approve charter school applicant

The Bossier Parish School Board voted 11-1 to approve the Barksdale Charter School application at its regular board meeting Thursday.
The school board granted the application as a Type 1 charter school, meaning the school board will be held responsible for the oversight of the charter school and the school would have its own independent board
