Caroline has more than 20 years of experience organizing, developing and managing corporate and political communications strategies and public policy initiatives with an emphasis on message development and coalition building. Born and raised in Bossier City, Louisiana, Caroline left her home in 1991 to work around the country on political campaigns, eventually founding her own consulting firm, Roemer Bell, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Clients have included mayors, congressmen, governors and Fortune 500 companies.
Returning to Louisiana in 2005, Caroline became the first executive director for the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools in the fall of 2006. The LAPCS currently represents more than 90% of charter schools in Louisiana and is recognized as the leading advocacy organization on behalf of charter schools in the state.
Sarah Baird

Sarah joins LAPCS after leading communications and media strategy for a wide variety of candidates, elected officials and non-profit organizations. Following her work to relaunch the African Studies Center at Eastern Kentucky University, Sarah served as Deputy Communications Director for the Beshear-Mongiardo gubernatorial campaign, where she helped create and promote the communications strategy that unseated an incumbent governor. During her time in government, Sarah served as Deputy Chief-of-Staff to Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo and Press Secretary to Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, where she also created and held the first-ever New Media Director position. Most recently, Sarah ran her own consulting firm, Bread and Circuses Media. She graduated from Centre College, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a BA in Anthropology & Classics.
Adrian Mendez

Adrian Mendez was raised in city of New Orleans. He attended New Orleans public schools Audubon and McMain. He graduated in 2005 from the University of Chicago with a major in political science and a minor in Latin American Studies. After college, he helped his family and community recover from the hurricane, and later moved to New York to work at a corporate law firm. Adrian returned to New Orleans because he deeply believes in the future of the city. He worked for New Schools for New Orleans (NSNO) for three years as part of the School Support Team, focusing on finance and operations. During his time at NSNO he was deeply involved in the training and launching of 12 charter schools across the city. At the LAPCS, Adrian supports the advocacy efforts of the organization to promote quality charters in Louisiana.
Everett Henderson

Born and raised in New Orleans, Everett comes to LAPCS after spending six years working in Washington, DC. He spent the past two years as the Statistical Analyst for the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services in DC. Prior to that, he worked for four years as a Research Associate at the Urban Institute (also in Washington, DC), one of the nation's leading policy research organizations. Everett has co-written and published several research briefs, research reports, and a book chapter and has also presented his research findings in important public forums. Everett graduated from Florida A & M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and from Carnegie Mellon University with an M.S. in Public Policy and Management.

Prior to joining LAPCS, Trish worked for three years with Teach For America – Greater New Orleans on the Development Team where she worked to implement a 3-Year Growth Plan, supporting the fundraising operations for a budget increase of $2 million to $9 million in order to grow the corps size from 120 to 500 teachers. Prior to working with Teach For America, Trish worked in the fields of community organizing and fundraising for numerous political candidates and not-for-profits. She is a founding regional board member of The Generation Project. Trish earned her B.A. from the Ohio State University with a degree in International Development and a minor in Environmental Economics.

Donyell McGlathery brings 15 years of executive administration and organizational management to the team. After 8 years of marketing and executive administration in the casino industry at both Harrah’s Casino and Bally’s Casino she decided she wanted to be close to the pulse of community endeavors. Thus serving the non -profit community in the positions of Campaign Executive Assistant at the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans and next as Executive Administrator at the City of Love. She recently brought that passion to education arena with Educate Now! as the Office Manager and currently as Business Manager of LAPCS. She attended Southern University and is a native of New Orleans.
